National Flag Day History

According to the history of National Flag Day in Bangladesh, in the year 1971, the first independent flag of the country was waved. The flag is also a symbol of the glorious history, the struggle and everything that the people of Bangladesh had fought for. It was on the night of June 6, 1970, that a red circle in a cloth with green background was brought to the University of Engineering, it is now known as Titumir Hall. But it was student leader Shivnarayan Das who gave the final shape of the flag in the most artistic manner. So, after gaining independence, the first ever flag was waved on March 2, 1971 which was quite a joyous occasion for the people of Bangladesh.
