Celebrations on Prophet’s Birthday in Afghanistan
Mixed beliefs surround the observance of this day since it is regarded as both the Prophet’s Birthday as well as his death anniversary. While some Muslims celebrate this occasion with street parades, processions, donations, charity and communal get-togethers, others find celebrating birthdays contradictory as per Islamic laws.
