Eid al-Fitr Holiday 2024 in Afghanistan

Eid al-Fitr 2024 is observed as per to the sighting of the Moon in Afghanistan and known to be one of the popular and prosperous Islamic festivals celebrated with great fanfare and happiness. Eid in Afghanistan is basically kids-oriented and involves preparing several lip-smacking dishes and gift items for kids and loved ones. This festival marks the end of Ramadan, which means no more fasting. One of the main highlights of this day other than its religious significance is the delicious feasts prepared. One of the savoury dishes consumed on this day includes Bolani, a stuffed flatbread comprising of either lentils or greens such as spinach, pumpkin, a chickpea-based dish called Shor-Nakhod and much more.
