Customs on the Day of Arafat
Muslims performing the Hajj visit the Mount Arafah and perform a ritualistic vigil from noon through sunset. They recite and listen to Islamic sermons given by Islamic scholars, repent for their sins, seek the mercy of Allah and offer supplications. After this, Arafah Prayers are recited. Muslims unable to perform the Hajj can visit other religious establishments such as shrines and mosques to perform the rituals.
